While the armadillo’s scutes are great for dogs, not so much for the other animals. There is more than one type of pet, so I think there should be more than one type of pet armor! How I think it should work is that we would be able to craft armor for every “tameable” mob (cats, dogs, parrots, donkeys, llamas, and mules. Horses already have armor). We would craft them with armadillo armor and a material. The material would determine the protection the armor gives. There would be 2 recipes; one for cat and dog armor, and one for parrot armor. The “rideable” mobs can all use horse armor, which would be renamed. The armor would hone able to be enchanted, with enchantments like locating, which shows the pet on a map, protection, and thorns. I feel like this would be a great addition to Minecraft, as right now it is kind of unfair that some pets get armor and others don’t.
