As a community we've grown pretty comfortable with defeating Raids. Now might be the time to implement something that never made it into the game: a Nether Raid. How I imagine this to work would be a player would have to find a unique variant of the fire charge (maybe a Soul Fire Charge) as loot from a Bastion or Fortress. They could then use it to light a Ruined Portal in the Overworld, which would initiate the Nether Raid. This would spawn in various Nether mobs, possibly with variations, such as Wither Skeletons equipped with bows or Soul Blazes which could drop the Soul Fire Charges, allowing the player to activate Nether Raids indefinitely. I would imagine the goal of the Raid on the side of the mobs would be to either kill the player or somehow spawn in a Wither, maybe by making use of a unique mob that spawns with a block of Soul Sand and can place it down before attacking the player. I definitely think this could effectively build on the concepts of Raids and add a new challenge and maybe some exclusive loot to the game.
