    Well, this is interesting...

    Although I find the concept of 'interconnected roads' less exciting for exploration, perhaps we can have trade routes for the wandering trader from village to village, where occasional illager scouts may attack.

    There can also be a new merchant villager, who travels from one village to another, providing material from a village to another. A player can purchase and sell stocks in bulk from the villager (this may alleviate some issues with trading large supplies to villagers, where they may easily run out of suppiles.)

    Why, a large village can even have 1-3 smaller towns around it, where a small handful of buildings and villagers supplement the central village.
