Slime Blocks are used for redstone contraptions in conjunction with pistons, but another feature of the slime block that can be a bit lackluster is its capability to launch entities, which is why I am proposing a feature added to the slime blocks that makes them crafting ingredients and upgradeable, matching the nature of the Ice Blocks.
This feature would make Slime Blocks a crafting ingredient, where 9 of them combines into "Packed Slime" and 9 Packed Slime into "Cadmium Slime" (or another green gradient to match the "blue ice" name). Each upgrade would make the slime blocks bouncier allowing players to craft increasingly complex and fun contraptions for launching entities with pistons or for bouncing further.
This could have uses in farms (for example launching mobs to the mobgrinder) or for regular transportation (chain of slime launchers).
The Packed Slime could preserve momentum making each bounce the same as the last, while the "Cadmium Slime" would make the player bounce increasingly higher. The launch rate (when combined with pistons) would also increase (~7 blocks vertical height for regular Slime Block, 14-20 blocks vertical with the Packed Slime, and 40-80 blocks vertical with the "Cadmium Slime")
Would this be broken? I don't think so since it requires the player to farm many Slime Balls to make one Cadmium Slime, making it a limited resource in terms of availability. Players should have better means of vertical travel once they can get that amount of Slime Balls.
