The wandering traders whole thing is selling you things from far off lands so that the player doesn't need to go thousands of blocks just to get something decorative, dark oak saplings or mangrove propagules being good examples.
As much as I love the treasure hunt of structures having unique loot to encourage adventure, sometimes the nearest woodland mansion is a bajillion blocks away and just no. On large, multiplayer servers strongholds are particularly susceptible to all being looted, making it potentially very difficult to find its unique trim.
Each trade would consist of giving any trim and 30-50 emeralds to purchase another trim.
The trader has the ability to sell any trim, even ones normally found in the nether or the end.
Possible trades increase based on how many days the world has existed. After a hundred or so the trader can sell you stuff from the overworld temples, a while longer he can sell ones from pillager structures, even longer and he can sell nether ones, and finally he can sell ones from the end. The exact day amount and order of unlock are open to suggestions.
The trader can NOT sell you the netherite upgrade template, but netherite templates can be traded as payment for other trims.
