Minecart Rework

Back when I was younger playing Minecraft one of my favorite things to do was set up railways or roller coasters with the games minecart system. But with the current state of the game I feel like they have become obsolete. They haven't been touched or updated in a pretty long time. Not to mention it feels like they have gotten so much slower than they used to be. I find this incredibly unfun for how long it takes to even set up minecart rails in the first place. Especially since there are other ways to travel in the game as well. Being Boats, Horses, and the Elytra. All of them being much, much faster than a Minecart going at top speed. I even wish I could chain Minecarts together to form some sort of train. But the only way to get that is with mods. The system as the whole with the way the game is right now doesn't feel rewarding, and I feel like it's worth taking a look at.
