Back in the day when I was still a noob, I was always low on food - Who else remembers this? The first Minecraft expirience was more about surviving, rather than progressing. Now that we got better at the game, food does never seem like a problem anymore, because we have entire farms etc.
While we can still choose to not build farms, there is a key element that I would like to have changed a bit. I would like food to have more importance in the Minecraft expirience.
Imagine if there was a gamerule, or before you can load a world, an option to be set that controls how fast you loose your hunger bar? In my opinion this would give more importance to the gathering of food aka. mere survival, while still giving players the opportunity to choose not doing so.
Back in the day I sincerely wished for a peaceful mode while hunger is still activated, as well. Maybe we could introduce a new gamemode for that? Just a random thought :)
So, in conclusion, I would like hunger to be adjustable to make your world harder on your own volition.
