Craftable saddles but with durability

          In this hyptetical item you make a different kind of saddle not the regular one but one that can only be used x amount of times this way the original saddle is still desiraible but players can still ride horses but just a bit more tedius, the design could use rabbit hide to get across it's durabilty while also making you chase rabbits so that it's not too easy to get, plus adding a functionalty to the low use rabbit hide, you could also use either iron or iron nuggets to the recipe iron to make it more costly while iron nuggets to bring out its low durabillity that much more.
