Pot Functionality

I believe Decorated pots should be a little more than just decorative. They have little functionality currently.

I'm thinking it should have similar functionality to a cauldron, but also able to display flowers, even 2-block tall plants. 

It would be interesting to be able to put a tree sapling in with some water, and eventually it would grow into a small model of a tree, with differences respective to the wood type. Cherry trees could have a wide, bonsai look, jungle trees could have a slim, taller look, crimson trees could be tall with cascading vines, etc. The tree could even go 3 blocks from the ground. It would really spice up open interiors, and I would love putting them in my houses.
