Hello there, I propose the idea of a paper armor which protects the player from arrows. I must highlight that this idea is inspired by real-life Chinese paper armor, however I will clarify the details this will be long but it would be worth reading.
1.How much could it protect?
Against general blows from axes, tridents and swords it would protect the same as a chain mail, however it could bounce off arrows (like the shield), this would protect the player from the damage and push received by arrows completely.
2.How would it be crafted?
Using paper, of course, to assemble it, it would require between 3 to 6 pieces of paper per slot, which would be equivalent to a total of between 24 to 48 pieces of paper. It is worth highlighting that it would be like the turtle shell (a single piece), in this case it would be for the torso.
3. How long would its durability be?
More or less similar to chain mail.
4.What is the range of your protection?
It would protect the player from unenchanted bows and crossbows and power-enchanted bows since the arrow would bounce off.
5.Could it disable any current function?
Maybe the projectile protection enchantment (one way to make it less strong is to make it unenchantable) and the shield since players wouldn't have to craft it.
6:What current features benefit from this?
Projectiles such as tridents and arrows fired from a perforated crossbow can damage the player perfectly which would give reason to use them more.
Thanks for your attention.
