Calcite, it's a rock that's made from calcium carbonate. It's in Limestone, and is used in certain marble applications. When smelted, or used under extreme pressures, the calcite limestone turns right into marble, so calcite isn't as useless, and Minecraft marble would look like those colored marble bricks
