I suggest to after Netherite Armor you can go to the magic branch, the exploring branch or the combat branch.
For the magic netherite upgrade you'll need to build a multiblock structure and place in the middle an expenssive-crafting altar, and surround it with pedestals. On this multiblock you can make materials and after all make new magic netherite armor. (it is very expensive)
For the exploring netherite upgrade you'll need to explore the End (or, maybe, a new dimension) to find shards of {exploring netherite ingot} (not name, only designation), from 9 of this you can craft an ingot and upgrade your netherite armor (but it will cost a very long time).
For the combat netherite upgrade you'll need to fight in the End (or, maybe, a new dimension) with new strong mobs (maybe, new bosses?) to gain wrecks of ingots. If you melt an wreck in furnace you will gane 2-3 nuggets of new ingot. (This mobs are very strong, it's better not to get too close to them).
Magic armor, the most expensive armor, will have a small additional protection from all sources (and strong magic protection), also 1 time in a 5 minutes, you (when you wish) will gain creative flight for 5 seconds (I repeat, this is the most expensive armor)
In a full set of Exploring armor, you can't fall to the void (this works only 1 time for 5 minutes), you will gain infinite speed 1 and you have feather falling 2 (not as an enchantment)
Combat armor, will grant to you small magic resistance and good defence from other sources.
