Beaches should receive an update! Unfortunately, it's the poorest biome of them all. I believe that with the fairly recent tweaks to biome generation, especially when considering the warmth of the biome in the world generation, there's ample opportunities to add many more features to the beach biome.
In real life, beaches vary widely, from those covered with washed-up ice on a volcanic floor in the northernmost parts of the world, to chalk cliffs overgrown with vibrant grass fields, and tropical beaches composed of mangrove hedges and even sandy shores dotted with scattered palm trees.
All these respective regions boast a rich variety of fauna and flora, particularly an abundance of sea creatures and an even greater number of different bird species taking advantage of the ample supply of ocean fish. With flora, we could potentially introduce the aforementioned palm trees. A nice touch would be the presence of washed-up materials on the beach, such as soaked tree logs or perhaps shells from various aquatic mollusks.
I mean, there's so much that could be done to bring this biome to life for the first time since the game's release. If you like this idea, please consider giving it an upvote. There aren't really any popular suggestions for a beach update, even though it's the biome most in need of one.
PS: Please do not hesitate to add more ideas with your comments; I will be more than happy to read through all of them.
