Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Beacon range depend on block type

I think beacon range should depend on what block type was used to form the beacon. Not just how many layers the beacon is.

Iron blocks are the easiest block to obtain that can form a beacon. They should provide the lowest range.

Netherite blocks are by far the hardest to obtain. One should be rewarded with a beacon range that reflects that achievement. A full netherite beacon is by far one of the hardest things to collect legitimately in the game.

Maybe:

Iron beacon = 50 block range, emerald beacon = 100 block range, gold beacon = 150 block range, diamond beacon = 250 block range and netherite beacon = 500~1000 block range.

    I agree gives a way bigger and better meaning to go mining for ancient debris!

    Built a beacon, realized how small the range was, now I have to build at least 6 to cover my base. Lights going everywhere. The reward doesn't measure up to the effort.
