Huge gap between Java and bedrock combat

I can say that one of the biggest gaps between Java and bedrock is the combat and I can list some. I've gotten the idea about this because I was playing a java and bedrock PVP server w my friend and I am on bedrock and he was on Java and we were on post 1.9 PVP. First of all here are some things that a java player can do.

.Have anything in offhand

.spam throwables and items like end crystals and xp bottles

.hotkey to put items in offhand

.And more...

That putted me at a huge disadvantage because if my totem gets popped I have to go to my inventory to grab another one compared to my friend which could do that with one press of a button. Plus not only my friend could have totems, but also any item in their offhand. I know it could be hard to put these mechanics in for console and mobile but that is the biggest gap between the 2 versions. At least make java for console or mobile by adding support for controllers and touch screen. It just feels like bedrock has been getting thrown around like trash. That's all I wanted to say.     Bedrock combat is better and should be added to java, and offhand is unrelated to combat system, there is issue with implementing it for mobile and console players I think that's why it's not fully implemented
