Artificially creating biomes in survival mode

I think that players should be able to create biomes in the upcoming change to villagers. This would eliminate the hassle of transporting villagers while still encouraging adventure. I suggest that this should be done by finding seeds of that biome via loot chests or some other similar method. Alternatively this could be done by creating certain environmental conditions.
