No longer be able to play multiplayer LAN offline

So back in the day before 1.20. I and my brother used to play multiplayer LAN offline. And now my brother need to connect to wifi or cellular data to play with me. I thought it was a feature cuz i and my brother play close together. So i just want that thing back
