Templates for Elytra

You know, armor templates were added for version 1.20. How about adding the same to elytra? I think it would be great. Elytra should also be able to have armor templates applied.

    Elytra template shuld be in the game cause regular elytra is boring and a old texture and we dont all have enough capes all we have are pancake capes and we cant buy things all the time and not all capes have costumes elytra so templates shuld be in the game for elytra and armor may in the next update

    I know there are capes but those are usually exclusive to certain events and can be easily missed A way to do it in base game would be great

    Yes! This would be awesome, but its gonna need a lot more votes for the to be considered as a possibility

    If there were a customitation for elytra then they should nerf it a little bit because it’ll weigh more. For redstone, since it’s dust, there won’t be a nerf. But then again, since MC community is a little picky and for the incompatibilitation with capes, then Mojang won’t add it.

    Most players don't have capes, so yes, this is definitely needed. It could just be done such that if you have a cape, the cape overrides. Or you could be able to choose which shows, cape or trim.

    OR they could make it so that the trim modifies the cape. Best would be if you could choose whether to show cape, trim, OR BOTH. If you show both, then the trim would add its color changes on top of the existing cape colors. On some capes, some trims might look great. Other combinations might look terrible. You'd have to experiment to find out what looks good. 

    If they made unique Elytra trims, they could easily make ones that would look good with most cape designs. For example, what about a trim that worked by shrinking down the entire cape pattern a little, and then adding a strip of color around the entire outside edge? So you'd still see the entire cape pattern, just with an added border. Or you could shrink the cape design just horizontally or just vertically, and add strips of color on just the side or just the top and/or bottom edges. Or you could have one that picks the color that's used second-most in the cape (so not the cape's main, or background, color, and not a color used only for minor details, but the second most common color on the cape) and changes that color to the selected trim color. (And maybe makes it glow?) 

    All of these ideas could have alternative versions that work on non-cape elytras.

    This would be amazing especially if you have a cape and for thos who don’t will get there a elytra a design and if they are not going to do this give more capes to bedrock players because I have been stuck with one cape and it will not let me get more

    Yes.
