The fact that Minecraft has two versions can make the game very complicated and makes multiplayer even more complicated. Also, the fact that the exact same version is used for both mobile and console only holds both of them back is another major issue with the game. My solution to both of these problems is for the Java edition to be recreated almost exactly in C++, with some changes to allow for skins, etc. This will also finally allow for cross-platform multiplayer on Mac and Linux. Meanwhile, the current Bedrock edition will return to being Pocket Edition again, to make it more optimised for mobile gaming, with Console Players having all their worlds automatically converted to the new version. The Realms subscription for Java and the Realms Plus subscription for Bedrock will also be merged, giving the player a realms server and similar benefits to the Realms Plus subscription. The Pocket Edition will have its own realms subscription and network for standard multiplayer. The Console version will also allow for players on your own Console’s friend list to join your own worlds, with Xbox friends, realms and servers being for all devices. This solution also will much better satisfy players compared to replacing the Java Edition with the current Bedrock Edition.
