Minecraft's progression issue

Minecraft is a very "short" game, and what I mean is that to obtain end-game items you just have to spend less than an hour of playtime; usually, games require their player to play for hours to go forward in the progression and obtain end-game loot

Unlike other games that go from zero to hero, in Minecraft the player starts already as the most powerful being in existance

The game has a tier progression from wood to diamond, but it can all be skipped with villagers; there are no barriers between the player and the next tier
