Painting Armor any color

With the recent edition of armor trims added to Minecraft it has given more customization options to armor than it has ever had before.  But even with this update I feel like armor needs one more customization to make the item truly yours.  What I am talking about is the ability to fully paint the armor any color you want.  At this point, in time only leather is able to be made a different color but my proposal is that armor like gold, iron, diamond, netherite, and maybe even chainmail.  Unlike leather though, the dye would be melted on the armor with a furnace or an entirly new block.  Now I know what your thinking "If the armor is colored in completely then how can you tell the difference from other armors.  My solution to this is when an armor is painted a few areas of the armor are not painted that are big enought so that another player can identify what armor it is but small enough to not ruin the design.  If this is implemented in minecraft you can have netherite armor that is blue or yellow or even pink along with all the armor trims that you can add on to it.  If this is added there will be more customization options then ever
