If a deep dark dimension is added, I think it should be a very hard difficulty. In a way it would be like post-game play in other games: extreme difficulty and extreme rewards (e.g., warden is the easiest mob). To help cope with this weapons could be crafted out of a new ore only found in this deep dark dimension and gives insane power to the weapons, but only in the deep dark dimension. That way mobs such as the warden would be manageable but also can still give one shot kills. Maybe armor could also be created out of this ore that could leave you with half a heart when talking damage at full hearts so you can survive at least one hit. For example, one piece of armor lets you survive with half a heart, with two pieces after two hits you would be at half a heart, etc. Basically a maximum damage value is added, with it being less damage the more armor you have. Likewise it would only work in the deep dark dimension: both would provide almost no protection or deal almost no damage in other dimensions.
