When I first found a trail ruin, I was fascinated by the feature of digging up a long-forgotten structure and unveiling interesting items from suspiciousl-looking sand or gravel, to try and find out the story of this leftbehind place. It's really insane how Mojang managed to get the entire community -including me- to immidiatly fall in love with this feature.
So I think it would only make sense to expand this feature. There is many ancient, ruin-like structures scatteres across Minecraft, so why not make them a part of Archeology as well? The desert temple already got this treatment, so...
It would work like this: The structures themselves would remain the same, but there would either be suspicious gravel scattered in/around them like with the Trail ruins, or there would be a new room (or multiple in bigger structures) with the suspicious blocks there, like in the desert temple.
The loot tables would of course change as well depending on the structure. For example, in jungle temples you might fínd gold, bamboo and tipped arrows. You might also dig up regular items like candles or bones that might tell the story of the structure, but not as many as in the Trail ruins.
I think this feature would not only expand on the storytelling aspect the 1.20 update offers, but would also make archeology feel more integrated and not just like some micro-side-feature. I hope You like this idea. :)
(Sorry for my bad English ._. )
