An idea for the properties of a new end ore

I have an idea to contribute to a potential end update. Like the nether update and Netherite we need some form of ore for the end as well. With any update though the new seems to fit with the old, and so I have an idea about what to do to make a new ore fit in. 
There isn't much that is actually in the end, but one thing I think would work great is to have the ore mimic End Crystals. It should only be collectable with silk touch, anything else would cause an explosion. The ore itself should be low in blast resistance as well, making sure that if there happens to be a pocket of them your carelessness will destroy all of it. This explosion should also happen if it is pushed with a piston or blown up with TNT. This helps ensure you can't quarry it, as the design of the end allows for easy flying machine building and would otherwise make any new ore trivial to get in giant quantities. 

As far as what to do with the ore itself, it should require refining in some way, kind of like Netherite does. I think a multi-step crafting process also fits in with how volatile it is. It think it makes sense that if you refine down this very explosive material it'd end up being brittle, so requiring it to be applied to diamond or Netherite tools and armor makes sense. You could also have it just use diamonds in the refining process then have the recipes follow the shapes of overworld tools, as this would make tools and armor more expensive, but lets you justify a better pay off in what they do.
