Water affected by heat

I was recently playing in a snow biome and I wanted to make a lake. The problem was that the water immediately froze, so I tried to put a campfire underneath the water to heat it up. Sadly, this doesn't seem to be a feature currently. I think it would be a very nice feature that water doesn't freeze when there is a heat source nearby.
