This would fit nicely with the game's semi-lore: "Free the End" achievement, Endermen's corrupted speech, the "cities", strongholds containing emeralds and music discs, eerie versions of C418's music, all seem to imply the End was once a pleasant dimension that something wild happened to.
The complex shape of a forest would make chorus fruit useful for escaping combat. Something similar to the upwards-growing warped vine in these forests would be helpful to counteract the levitation effect by holding on to.
The issues with what I've suggested that I can see are:
-The End is most likely left blank by Mojang so that it can appear as the remnants of something, and a hospitable forest would take away some of that story.
-Sneaking on a vine or ladder to stop levitating might not be a feature Mojang would want to be so front-and-center in the game.
-The trees being in the shapes of overworld trees exclusively would mean that they were overworld trees, which tells a story with too much precision and steals some imagination from the lore.
-The Overworld has trees because it is earthlike, hospitable, and temperate. The Nether's trees are actually fungus, which in the real world works to decompose things, and for the Nether that makes sense. Making a forest make sense in the End would require something more. Maybe certain End islands have a resource that lets trees grow?
If anyone can find fixes to these or more issues, please comment; I'd really like to see this in-game!
