Hello everyone, I'm Haywilly and I'm here to rant at you. I've been playing Minecraft for 11.5 years now and I have a suggestion regarding seasons.
Topic: Seasons
I will be focusing on the four seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn
Winter: Winter would feature a few things, most importantly snow. Snow would cover the world (where it makes sense). This would come with a host of problems, from strays to a lack of leaves on trees (see my post about trees). This season could also come with lower crop yields for some crops and increased yields for others
Spring: With Winter snow melting, the world becomes muddy for a few days. Once the mud is gone, the world begins blooming and everything grows back. Trees regain their leaves, an abundance of young animals spawn, and crops are back to normal. The Spring ends with a great deal of rain for a few days and this carries over into the Summer
Summer: After rainfall, crops such as wheat and potatoes are now growing in great abundance. Summer is somewhat uneventful and not much happens here
Autumn: This comes with a few things, primarily the leaves on trees changing colors and falling. Other than that, crops are less effective and this is mostly a time for the player to prepare for Winter
Those are my suggestions there. I would like to add that it would be cool if Villager behavior and even outfits changed throughout the seasons. If it's raining or cold, they spend more of their time inside. The last thing is shorter/longer days.
