An Improvement in Trees

Hello everyone, I'm Haywilly and I'm here to rant at you. I've been playing Minecraft for 11.5 years now and I have a few suggestions. Due to the character limit, this is one of four posts. Enjoy!

Topic: An Improvement for Trees

Trees have been a critical part of the game since the start however, aside from the addition of dropping sticks, they haven't changed much. I would like to suggest a few things. The first is leaves as an item. Leaves would passively drop onto the ground and stay there before degrading and disappearing some time later. If the player right clicks them when they're on the ground, they get the leaf item. Leaves as a block would still be accessible via shears and crafting them out of the leaf in a 3x3 pattern. I believe this addition would provide more atmosphere for forests and trees in general.

The second and final suggestion is trees could also drop seeds when their leaves are broken and those could be planted, eventually growing into saplings then full trees. 

These changes could be made fairly seamlessly and wouldn't affect player's gameplay in any major way. Thanks! :)
