Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Rods

Minecraft has sticks, why can't they make iron rods? They can add it to swords for more durability, knockback and damage. No other uses.

    Why no other uses? Minecraft is primarily a sandbox, so the more uses a new feature has the better. I could see iron rods used for making stronger arrows/crossbow bolts for example, having a heavier trajectory and making the drawspeed of a normal bow much slower, but not affecting charge speed of a crossbow, as well as being recoverable from unalived mobs, the projectiles dropping along with the rest of a mob's loot.
