Custom centered maps

Please consider adding a functionality to the cartography table that would allow players to re-center a map of a given scale on the location of the cartography table. The map would then function as normal except that it will not align to chunk boundaries, allowing the player to make maps of their bases or other points of interest without necessarily having to use multiple maps if they straddle normal map boundaries.

  Jesus Christ please this. Maps are ruined as of now. I just want to make a big ass empty map with my base at the center so I can explore in all directions and find my way back easily. I get the whole grid lock map wall thing, but maps are useless on a wall. I want a functional map to carry around! 
  If I want a map wall, I will do the extra work to make it line up.
  
  This problem of trying to get my base (which is smaller than a chunk) in the center of a damn map has taken up my entire afternoon. 

  Please please please add this feature to manually set the map center! 

  It would be good enough to have it be "almost" centered and still snap to chunks! But as it is right now, if your base is in the wrong spot, it can never display on a single map.

   

  I hope this is added as a feature, but until then, I am going to have to find a mod for it.
