More Armor Options

I was recently thinking and talking with a friend about more Armor options. However, I don't necessarily mean things like Emerald Armor or Obsidian Armor. What I mean is, what if there was another option you could go for BESIDES Netherite Armor? Like another type of armor that can be obtained from certain ores in certain places like the End Islands. Another type of armor that isn't necessarily better than Netherite, but instead has it's own properties that make it valuable. Like, you know how Netherite armor allows you to take less knockback? Have another type of armor that gives the same stats as Netherite, but instead has it's own property that doesn't make it better than Netherite but instead makes it different from it. I don't exactly know what this property would be, but I do think it should be a small effect and not something overpowered that makes it better than Netherite.
