It's a very simple idea: bring a broader range of utility to both the spyglass and brush outside of what they can do right now. One of the best examples is shears: sure, they serve to clip wool off sheeps, but they also do a whole lot other things, while the two mentioned above only really do one very specific thing. Let's remedy this
The spyglass lets you zoom out, but you can already acomplish this with a button. What if the spyglass could let you mark a waypoint anywhere via pressing the main fire button while zoomed in, at the cost of durability per a certain amount of time like 1 durability every 15 seconds? You'd be able to place the waypoint on any block that you can see, and could see the waypoint even if you're not looking at it directly with a HUD indicator. To implement this, spyglasses have as much durability as shears
The brush lets you unearth very specific items from discovery, but what if it actually did more than just that? Use the brush to break certain blocks to obtain items you would normally get elsewhere or from it as an alt drop, at a much higher percentage than with any other tool. Dirt drops bone meal, sand drops gunpowder, gravel drops flint, etc. To counter this, brushes would have the same durability as shears
(On a side note, as a whole copper is pretty useless. Why not make copper tools with more breaking power at the start, but they lose it as they oxidate? Smelt them back to ingots when they're too rusty)
Been playing since 2010, cool game
