tool trims

existing trims are usable for tools

    If you wanted to distinguish the difference between a riptide and a loyalty trident, or a silk touch and fortune pickaxe, this is perfect.

    I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS! I had this idea last night and I think it would help make things look really cool. It could probably help to sort out your tools too.

    What if the trims applied on the tools do not only add colorful patterns but also change the shape of the tool. For example, a trim applied on a sword can change its shape to a saber, a claymore, a saw, or something more fantastical with swirly shapes, double blades, etc.

    This would add, in my opinion, more role-play features for players and, if these were applied to mob weaponry, add regional variation between swords. Imagine if piglins and wither skeletons had differently shaped swords.

    Would be really cool and further improve customization, also could use new trims instead bc less pixels on items means less distinct possibilities

    minecraft needs new weapon types and tool trims would be great. like, there would be so many different combos and using the same trims with the armor would look so cool. and they need to add copper and emerald tools also for more combos. same with copper and emerald armor. there is an add on that does this but its not that good. it only works on swords, pickaxes, and axes of iron, diamond and netherite. but if it was actually added to the game it would half to include tridents, bows, crossbows, hoes, and shovels of all types.

    Infinite uses! That is what minecraft is all about, right. This would add more to infinity.(that's a yes)
