As a builder, there are so many colors and textures in the real world that I wish I could use, but they do not exist in the game. One of the biggest examples of this is limestone, a block that would exist in the middle of sandstone, stone, and quartz color wise and would have a texture similar to dripstone’s. This block would have all of the variants traditional to stone blocks such as a polished, brick, and chiseled variety and could also serve some mechanical functions. This block would likely spawn in mid y levels above diamond but could also be generated like stone and basalt; however, I don’t know exactly what combination would produce it. It could also serve as a renewable way to get sand if there was a crafting recipe that would break down limestone into sand. Overall, there is so much potential with this block, both technically and creatively. Of course, I’m no coder, so I don’t know how difficult it would be to integrate into the game, but as it serves primarily as a retexturing of other features, it doesn’t seem as though it would be that difficult. Just, please! It could be really cool!
