signs don't automatically go into edit mode when placed

it is annoying that when you place a sign it automatically goes into edit mode. with the ability to edit signs, i feel like it would be nicer if you put it down then click to edit. it would make things smoother if you want a bunch of blank signs for holding back water or whatever too
