Better Rivers and Boats that can properly go upstream

Rivers that start from mountains as small streams, flow downstream and get wider, form rivers and flow to lakes or oceans. Also boats that can go upstream, and maybe capzise. This could also be an oportunity to add more and bigger boats or mabye wind and sailing.
