Ever wanted to craft a potion, but it lasts so short. Plus, you have no glowstone dust on hand, so what is a poor minecrafter to do. Substitute it with dirt of course! Backfiring potions could be a fun way to have a chancy risk of potions. By using other blocks unlike glowstone dust (and yes, other BLOCKS, I'm not saying create every block and its dust form) you can substitute it in to create your potion. BUT it comes at a cost. The potion could have a chance to do a completely random other effect, including becoming an awkward potion! The more common your block you use is, the more chance it will backfire (i.e. iron ingots have a 40% to backfire, but cobblestone has a 90% chance to backfire). Of course, the potion could be helpful, to :) Thanks for reading!
