When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

I love this idea. Consider: little copper golem sized guy with 3 inputs, one in each hand, and one on its body. Give it a tool or item in its left hand, and place block/item on its body (item frame style) and it interacts with that block/item type using the tool.

Pickaxe + stone = mine stone
Bucket + bucket of milk = milk cow

Put an item in their right hand and they put attempt to put it IN the block represented on their body.

Bucket of milk + hopper = drop milk in hopper

It would be very basic "If And Then" code that would make the grind of the game automatible to an extent. Tools would still have durability and to balance it maybe the golems would need to be powered/fed Redstone?

Tools Golem! Id like to see it similar to the copper golem, but still multi-functional. Create with Iron block, Redstone Block on top, carved pumpkin on top of that, spawns with iron chest like the copper golem. Give it an iron tool to assign the task (Pickaxe to mine, shovel to dig, axe to cut trees, shovel to dig, hoe to harvest, sword to patrol, bucket to collect from animals, bundle to plant what seeds or sapling is in its chest, shears for wool). When its inventory fills up, it returns to empty into its chest, if the chest is full then it stands in front confused. To assign its work area (so it doesnt wander off, or maybe to power it), chain around the area and use redstone torches every 15 blocks. The signal would define the boundaries, regardless of height. To balance, the golem could not be re-assigned, could only interact with natural blocks, and would not be able to leave a path for itself (meaning if you leave it alone, eventually you will have to build it stairs to return to its chest, or relocate the chest as it dug down). Golems could only mine/dig whatever is best for that block, like a shovel golem could not work on stone, or a pickaxe golem could not dig dirt.
