Here is a way herobrine could be added without changing the concept of herobrine or any major changes to Minecraft. I think that he should not be added as a mob, but as an encounter. Let’s say in new world generation, 0.00005 percent of the worlds chunks would be considered “cursed”. This would be a completely invisible stat that would not show up in the debug menu. In these “cursed” chunks, all ambient noise would stop. Everything would be completely silent and no mobs would make any noises. Now in these chunks, there would be a super rare occurrence of “encountering” Herobrine. Instead of appearing as a mob, he appears in the same way he appears in the original post, just out of view. When you are turning you might seem him out of the corner of your eye but then when you do a double take, he is gone. You might see a silhouette of a person far off but by the time you get there he is gone. Steps running up behind you but no one is there. Their could after a while in the chunk, thinks could escalate. Minecraft already has a system where as you stay in a chunk longer, the difficulty increases. Using this system, any trees that are grown will not have saplings. Any thing caught fishing will be “junk items” Also more encounters with herobrine. If Mojang were to add this, the only indication of something happening is at the end of the patch notes, instead of saying -removed herobrine like they used to joke about, they could say -added herobrine and never address it again.
