Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Metal Fences and Fence Gates

This idea is to add Iron Fences, Gold Fences, Copper Fences, and matching Fence Gates.

These six new blocks are decorative alternatives to wooden Fences and wooden Fence Gates.

Copper Fences and Copper Fence Gates can oxidize, unless waxed.

Just as Iron Doors and Iron Trapdoors can only be opened or closed by redstone, the new metal Fence Gates can only be opened or closed by redstone.

All the new blocks are slightly slipperier than wooden fences and wooden fence gates.

Each metal fence is made from two nuggets and four ingots, all of the same material, yielding three, and each metal fence gate is made from four nuggets and two ingots, yielding one.

Gold fences are generated as part of Nether Fortresses, replacing the nether brick fence windows, and as part of Bastion Remnants, replacing some or all of the black stone walls.

All three types of metal Fence and metal Fence Gate have another special property:  When a gravity block entity is on top of one, that entity will be replaced with a similar looking entity which can be killed by mining it, and which does think of a metal fence or metal fence gate as a "ground" block if it has enough horizontal momentum.

This replicates, in very limited form, a bug which existed prior to 19w06a.

    This is genius. If this got added, I could make things like pipe organs so much easier(I make them way more often then you would think.) Also, I've seen this in other places, but electrifying them would be so cool. If they only looked a little bit different(like trapped chests compared to normal chests) that would be an awesome use for the lightning rod.
