boats and rafts upgrading

I would think it would be cool to be able to upgrade boats in rafts to have some kind of portable camp in the water. maybe add 2 boats and some iron and any essentials like, a chest or bed in a crafting table to make a floating (small) camp. 

Also maybe add an easier system to travel with pets or horses. Maybe add a trailer you can upgrade to have horses and pets sit in. Mount the horse and jump to get them out; automatically get your pets to sit in the trailer when you are in the boat and get out when you dismount near land.
