I want to build a boat!?!

I want to sail the seven seas on my luxury yacht. My home away from home where i keep my precious collected items. Arrgh, i wish to plunder the wrecks of the fallen. Me ship sailing through the waters. Its long wooden boards cuttin' the ocean like a cutlass through a grog swilling beggar, with parrot on me shoulder. I want to search for the white whale. My liner cutting the icy waters as i gaze from my spyglass at the ever increasing expanse on the horizon. Is this how you feel too? I have hoped for a block or platform that can be place in the water and built on to create a wonderful ships design. Possibly using the current boat as a starting point to build from, with the seat able to be placed somewhere on the build when ready. To be able to move the creation around while searching for items, biomes, treasure, villages, plants, food, you name it, and having somewhere to store the finds without having to return to a base repeatedly. I understand it may create a performance issue with gameplay but a limit could be placed on overall size such as the height limit already imposed on the game to minimise the performance issues that may be created. I just want to travel without the restriction of having to return to a base camp every time i find something good. Please give this suggestion ample consideration as it would enhance gameplay and create an experience that has been happening since the time our ancient ancestors first created rafts and started their adventures.
