Hey, why can't we stack carpet like we stack top snow?

Dear Microsoft, Mojang, Minecraft Feedback Moderators, and whoever else this may concern,

Why can't we stack carpet blocks like we stack top snow blocks? I mean, if you take a look at carpet and top snow, they should work pretty much the same! Top snow blocks stack up to make a full block if you have enough of them and are just a fraction of a couple snow blocks. Carpet tiles are also a fraction of a wool block and should work the same. I felt that if you added this small detail, it would put carpet to a much better use since you cannot place items on carpet blocks normally. If they were stackable, life would be better, and we could make cooler things. Same thing for top snow actually, why can't we place cool things on that as well? That'd be pretty cool.

(if you added more flowers that would also be pretty cool. maybe even dyeable flowerpots??)
