    Dear Mojang,

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add the blocks from the Timeless Trails Summer event map to vanilla! Please update the desert biome generation to look more like this map! The Timeless Trails summer event map was absolutely stunning! The rolling dunes atop the color gradient sandstone in varying shades! the rivers and the waterfalls! THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL! with the elements already built it should be SUPER EASY to add them into the existing block rotation! The little decorative items even were perfect! Microscopes! Test Tubes!, Bed Rolls! Tools leaning against posts! PLEASE ADD THESE ELEMENTS TO VANILLA!!!

I feel like the archaeology could've been better. When making the Caves and Cliffs update, Kingbdogz said "The image of stalactites & stalagmites comes into my head".

Well, if you say archaeology, the image of Fossils comes into my head. Although as I'm writing this, now I've discovered that fossils are specialized under paleontology, not archaeology. However, both of them excavate and study physical remains.

SN: I know fossils are already a thing in Minecraft, but this way it will give fossils a new purpose & possibly new mechanics to the game.

    According to Earthhome:

"Paleontology is the scientific study of fossils to learn about the history of non-human life on Earth.

"Archaeology is the scientific study of human-made artifacts and structures to learn about ancient people and cultures."

Many pointed out that the 1.20. update feels like it lacks something, in each sector. Well, I can tell you in the archaeology sector, paleontology is the way to complete it. To excavate & discover the remnants of non-human life fossils. The fantasy potential is also available, as you don't have to do dinosaur fossils, but can be a fossil of a Minecraft mob instead. New or existing.

To make it more exciting, you can use an item or do something creative (a new mechanic) to those fossils for a chance to revive them. With this, it can also be used to revamp how you revive the Sniffer, instead of just finding a Sniffer Egg.

I’m a relatively new player and I had only really joined the Minecraft community when 1.19 had just come out and I mainly play survival. I was super excited about the new update as I figured it would make exploring your world more exciting than I had already found it. I think as an update there were a lot of super cool ideas that just weren’t done well. The addition of armor trim was a super cool idea but I don’t think I’m the only one who thinks they all look relatively the same. The new decorative blocks are really cool but you really missed out on the big pots being either a new storage block or a new flower pot. It’s kinda dumb in my opinion that you do all that work to acquire the sherds only to look at them, especially from a survival players point of view. The sniffer seems like a cool mob but the flowers do jack for you so it’s again something that requires a lot of work with no real gain. And the new biome is super cool but you didn’t add a new type of village showcasing either of the new wood types so again that was a missed opportunity in my opinion. I’m also a little sad from a builder point of view that cherry leaves are literally the only other colored leaf block in the entire game. We need more from you guys.
Something I think would be cool in a future update would be blocks that create more movement to your builds. I think it’d be a great way to appease the builder community and the red stone community by bringing something dynamic to the game.

It doesn't have enough stuff. I was hoping for upgraded touch control options or even a new item such as a grappling hook, and more plants from the sniffer.

I love this update and all its features here are some sugestons that minecraft needs make pots store items 4 and 2 block tall flowers, make the sniffer have more plants like food or new types of vines, make silence easyer to find, add bundles if you place a chilsed bookshelf with 14 other bookshelfs and fill it up with 3 enchaned books the entment will allways be one of thouse enchantments,

We need something exciting for survival players. I have been playing Minecraft since the beginning and have watched it grow. I have found myself starting new survival worlds every few months from becoming a god-like figure with netherite tools and armor with 5+ enchantments on each. It would be fun to have some combat updates and maybe more to fight. I know those things take time and all but all these small updates with one subject aren't going to do anything. The community needs a 4 part update on new mobs, bosses, weapons, and survival gear. We need something big and focused on a large field.

Could we please have another update that fills in missing parts of the game? Somethign themed like the 1.13 and 1.16 updates makes minecraft more complete, rather than constantly adding new features with no use. I'm just tired of new updates adding no gameplay.

Speaking of trails, can we have some villager pathing improvements? Like make the villagers smart enough to find paths so they can navigate the villages they're in? A villager falls, then I try building a stairway so the villager can get back up to the upper portion of the village, but the villager doesn't seem to recognize the stairs, so I'm at a loss and the only way I see villagers being able to navigate villages is through a villager pathway navigation improvement update.

I really think that the new step to obtain Netherite was wholly necessary, because as soon as you obtain a diamond pickaxe, ancient debris becomes trivial. But with this added step, even with the ability to duplicate the template, gives players time to appreciate diamond gear so much more, and makes Netherite that much more valuable.

The cherry biome NEEDS its own mob I imagine a mob like a deer or a variant of moobloom would be interesting, an animal that gives off a mystical air would be very cool especially Because the cherry biome itself already has a mystic air so a mob that looks mystical (you know like a Very cute and silly deer) would be a great addition

The sniffer needs more functions! Like more Flowers or you could ride it like idk something more usefull for him would be pretty nice

The many features added by the smaller updates over the years (1.12, 1.15) seem to be very shallow and ignored, having mostly one singular use unrelated to the main objective. Instead of just adding more and more blocks and mobs with only vanity as their purpose, an update focusing on the expansion and update of many smaller, niche features would be infinitely better than a bunch of disorganised, useless catalogue of blocks served only to builders.

Plus, mojang's philosophy of catering to all players is really limiting the potential of features. Adjusting every feature to not impact a community is more of a burden to the gameplay.

All in all the Trails and Tales is pretty cool. I just think that the sniffer should be more useful as it only sniffs out two sorts of flowers. I am very happy that we get to make armor trims with different ores and make our armour much more decorative. The only other thing I don't agree is the rarity of Netherite armour now. Now the only way to get smithing templates is by finding Bastions. I mean, It's hard enough to get 30-40 debris for armour and tools and now we have to use and extra 7 diamonds for each armour and tool we need to turn into netherite.

In general there was a ton of stuff that could’ve been done, manny great idea but poor execution
Like trail ruins, which don’t have enough stuff, they should be larger and buried underground mostly, like real ancient villages, they also need special loot like an extinct crop that the villagers used long ago that has special effects and can be brewed into the haste potion, instead it is just 1 broken down house completely above ground. Make them larger and put them under the surface. Also with the sniffer if you guys can read this SNIFFER NEEDS MORE PLANTS just 2 is not enough, can the sniffer dig up another special crop that gives resistance but takes a while to grow, a new vine that grows upwards on blocks and grows flowers and fruit, when brewd it gives a new effect: sticky feet which is negative jump boost, just any way you slice it we need more stuff, maybe different pot shapes for the decorative pots, the armor trims are the only thing that doesn’t need work, and the archeology needs better brushes enchantable with efficiency, fortune (drops more items), and luck of the sea (this would increase rates of good Items dropping from sus sand and gravel) not to mention unbreaking and mending, and maybe add like, archeologist villager who gets his job from a decorated pot, you can trade with him for pottery shards and sniffer eggs, he will also trade for a map to upgraded trail ruins, just please mojang listen to the community
We need more from the sniffer and trail ruins

I think the new upcoming update that absolutely destroys villager trading, is not what people were thinking of when they asked for more rewarding gameplay, is there no good “NEW” ideas anymore? Please don’t break something that already works so well, add aspects to level out gameplay instead of trashing an existing one, just to lazily fix an issue half heartedly.

Please if someone working to make these updates sees this then STOP STUFFING MORE AND MORE STUFF INTO THE LINE OF PROGRESSION. Right now the line of progression looks like this:
start a new world—————>beat the ender dragon.
It’s so small of a progression line that you can beat the game in under a week and then be bored since all the updates consist of more useless building blocks and not adding onto the progression line. Maybe try making a boss in the end city, jungle temple, and even in the portal in the ancient city. There are many different players that have different play styles in Minecraft and the only ones that this update affected was the builders, with more new blocks. But not the adventurers, risk takers, and just people looking for more action, which consists of a larger percentage of players. We need something and I’m honestly tired of these incomplete updates and mob votes that get us nowhere because it just forever throws out the other good mob ideas. All the updates are just stuffing more into the line of progression, but maybe expand it, like seriously consider making the ancient city portal actually work and have a new realm with stronger mobs and new armor to discover. And maybe don’t make the armor so OP, just have it with its own unique capabilities. But the more you put in the line of progression the more the player is given these little side quests that don’t do anything or have any value besides slowing the player down from completing the game.

Honestly, pretty disappointed considering that this update only added 3 notable features which, when compared to things like the nether update, are pretty boring.  All we got was one new biome that is only aesthetic, an underwhelming (and late) archaeology system, and armor trims that are pretty useless in general.  This really should have been more of a patch or been a part of a bigger update.  I would have rather waited longer if it meant there would be quality features.  Adding cherry blossom biome-specific mobs or structures would give more of an incentive to visit the biome.  Improving the archeology system by making the loot table better would give a better reason to spend most of your time looking for special blocks other than aesthetic reasons.  I would also like to see armor trims become actually useful like adding little bonus effects when applied.  Maybe the rib armor trim, (the one from fortresses), could grant a slight fire resistance.  In my opinion this update could be saved with a part two. however, for now, I wouldn't call this the trails and tales update, but rather the aesthetic update.

The new 1.20.2 update with the villager trading nerfs is not a good idea. Most of the fan base DOES NOT approve and making survival players take more time to get good tools, weapons, and armor takes away from some of the most amazing aspects of the game. I hate going to the nether without decent enchantments on tools. With this update, I'll to have spend quadruple the time getting geared up (which already takes enough as it is) and it'll take so much more time getting to the end, taking on the wither, getting farm's going, etc. All in all, this update is going to upset the majority of the minecraft fanbase. Let's not forget, the anvil "Too Expensive" cap is utterly ludicrous. For a sandbox game, there is a large list of barriers/limitations on things and this update will make that list substantially bigger.

The new nerfing of villagers seems like such a bad idea to me. It already feels laborious enough to get villagers with the trades you want, this will make it unbearable. I'm all for some game improvements, but this is not one of them. This "Improvement" really makes me not want to update the game going forward and stay on 1.20.1 for the foreseeable future.

For reference, for someone to take advantage of the current process to get the trades they want. they have to first find a village, put the villager somewhere where they wont likely be killed, trade (dealing with trade cooldowns mind you) hoping that once they are leveled up they have the trade you want. On top of that if they want to zombify them and then heal them it requires you to find an apple, gather enough gold for a golden apple, go to the nether for blaze powder, get gun powder, spider eye, sugar, a brewing stand, mushroom, glass. Its not a slow process, and is not as "early to mid game" as everyone is making it out to be. Why does this need to be nerfed?

It would add some charm if tree saplings made a (creaking wood) sound effect when they grow into full size trees.

Others have said it’s incomplete. I slightly agree with it.

Here’s what you can do to make it feel more complete: possibly add a function to the pots, or make them place for good storage.
Add a new structure to the cherry biome, like possibly a cute cottage or ruins of a cottage that you can rebuild. Add a special type of mob that is specific to that biome, such as pink cows or something, I think that’d be really cute. Instead of milk, they have some kind of pink milk/liquid. I think the moo bloom was a great idea.

The sign edits are amazing. It helped with a lot of things, definitely.

If you could add a function to the plants, like possibly a new dye color, or a double dye color, so instead of just one color on a dye, it’s two colors, and you can dye your bed a cute pattern.

With armor trims, I think they’re sweet, but again making them useful is what I think most players want. Maybe trims giving you more power on certain enchantments, or something?

Generally, you guys work hard. You definitely deserve a breather.
It’s even harder to be creative and productive if you’re completely overwhelmed. I wouldn’t mind if y’all needed to take some breaks or so in the next few months. Take care of yourselves.

    Alright, peace! ✌️

Hello Minecraft developers. I wanted to inform you that I have beta 1.20.30.20, I didn’t like it at one point. Librarians sell books, but their enchantment level is low and there will be a penalty system for combining them on an anvil, and I don’t like this system with low-level books.

Not the best update, But better than 1.19. The sniffer and pot could use more. It would've been cool if there where more more sniffer plants, and maybe even a new potion from it. The pot could've had cracked variants like what happend to the debug stick thing?

As previous commenters said there needs to be some new mobs and bosses. The Arctic area needs a Yeti (winter version of the Warden). You have dolphins but no sharks? Also I want some Volcanoes! In the Mountain region it would be sweet to have some of the mountains spontaneously produce lava flows!
Also when is that "Portal" in the Deep Dark going to do something?
