Ich komme nicht ohne das prewiew in minecraft 1.20 rein und dann kann ich nicht mit meinen FREUNDEN spielen
I am disappointed. I have been watching some YouTubers play the new update and enjoying going to digsites and digging for a while.
Every digsites I have found so far has just been on the surface and nothing more. I really wanted to discover what they offered and find new sherds from the dig sites. But like I said everyone I want to was just one the surface nothing deep and big. Though the temple and well did have stuff more then I thought. It was nice to explore them. I'm in bedrock. Maybe there is in issue with digsites on bedrock.I am overall very happy with the update!
A couple of features that excited me the most are the Sniffer and Archy, and I have several comments/ideas for both to make them more interesting to the average player/better for customization and storytelling.
Archy : :
Make suspicious sand & gravel craftable by placing one item in the center surrounded by either sand or gravel in order for players to create a minigame like experience amongst themselves.
Make it possible for pots to hold an item inside (by crafting the item into it)
Have more exclusive items for Archy. Something like the Ruby may be a nice callback (fits with the ancient theme!), while providing nothing more than a trophy item (it would just be a collectable), which this game lacks. Perhaps another Totem would fit nicely here as well.
Sniffer : :
At least one more plant. A sapling could be a rather interesting addition
More hearts on the sniffer. It's massive, yet the slightest thing kills it.
Over all I really enjoyed the Sniffer and I believe dino mobs are untapped potential. Imagine you could obtain them in all different ways, perhaps a fish dino is frozen in the ice spikes and you have to take it back in the block and thaw it out, or maybe a small raptor-like mob that you find stuck in underground amber.
Unfortunately this update wasn't as exciting as I thought it was going to be a lot of things feels unfinished, there are some features that are also fantastic but the ones that aren't all there really bring the update down. To begin, armour trims are incredible and definitely something great for customisation, hanging signs the new wood types that's all great but the sniffer feels incomplete, so does the cherry blossom biome and to an extent pots too.
First the sniffer, 2 plants doesn't feel like enough. The amount of time investment to get the mob can be upwards of multiple hours and you receive 2 plants, there is a lot of potential for unique plants that the sniffer can dig up both edible and decorative and it is a missed opportunity (and feels unrewarding) to only get 2.
Second the cherry blossom biome, it is so close to perfection however the fact that there is no unique village for the biome feels like it is just out of place and undermines how the village and pillage update set up the feeling of the world.
Finally pots, this is a pretty simple one, firstly the lack of being able to colour the images, if we could ad die with a sherd to colour the picture (not the whole pot the picture) it would bring a lot more life to them, if the pot could also receive an inventory, they feel very stale (even though meant for decoration) having them as a storage option would give the player so many more options for thematic building (to fit with the storytelling theme of the update)
Overall, I don’t love nor hate the new update. It does give more to builders but that’s ok! Only real complaint is the sniffer egg and how out of place it looks compared to its spawn egg or the other obtainable eggs like the dragon egg or turtle egg.
Add armor slots in smithing table GUI to take or switch up armor directly in this GUI and not open inventory, switch down the armor, open smithing table GUI and apply a smithing template and re-open inventory to switch up the armor.
there's a dev twitter post recommending other games if you want extrinsic gameplay and it's not the goal of minecraft. well... but those rpg games like skyrim and terraria are very rigid and you're stuck in a map, not like minecraft where you can make anything. can't we have the best of both worlds? the dev mentioned adding extrinsic goals will ruin the sandbox freedom, but I don't see how that will happen, as players always have a choice to fight a boss or not. the boss might have a reward, but the game isn't forcing you to fight the boss, that goal is made by the player. but you can always do an intrinsic goal and make a castle instead. it's optional content, and I don't see why conservative players see it as ruining the sandbox.
despite some rude comments here and there, many of us criticize because we care about minecraft. please don't dismiss all feedback as toxic players simply being dissatisfied with every update. it's a bit sad to see feedback being ignored, and the devs trying to move away from survival mode....
i am sad that all the highly voted feedback in this site are going to be ignored, like bosses, dimensions, pet dragons, dog armor, quest boards, because it's *too extrinsic*. maybe i can instead compile all of the extrinsic feedback here before it gets removed, in hopes that a new rival minecraft-like developer actually makes the content im looking for. a minecraft game that doesn't force players to be intrinsic and find meaning in sniffer flowers.
really good update but will education ever get updated for those who play it?
Whenever Mojang adds something new or does an overhaul, it really does feel like they're afraid to go "all in." New features and mechanics feel like they're only ankle deep. Like in just this update alone my two biggest sadnesses are:
Archeology: It's just decorations with the occasional gem, when either they could have had more decos or had some cool survival based loot or had more various structures spawn to dig in instead of just trail ruins.
Sniff: You have to search underwater for ages over something that... Digs up just two plants. I don't even mind that they're just decorative but why only two. Why not five at the least?
And then in previous updates and overhauls, the cave updates only added three biomes to the caves, bit of a lack of variety I'd say also goes for the Nether update. When you compare the overworld to the caves and nether it makes you want to ask for more variety when exploring. Even with the ocean update, the oceans still feel empty because of a lack of life or perhaps unique areas to dive in for.
And even if the "loud minority" is very vocal about this sort of stuff, they do have a point. Physical features are feeling more half baked by the update. Technical stuff is cool, but it's been years since I feel like I've been amazed playing the game.
I really think Mojang needs to take a step back and look at what's in the game *now.* Entirely new things can wait. What we need, IMO, is an update that takes what we have already, and polishes it.
Pillager Outposts have become rare to find now. I am on a mission to find the last armor trim which is the Sentry armor trim. It has literally taken me 4 days and I would have found one by now. Up the 25% chance to 50% chance. Also, more about the pillager outposts, they generate on the bank of rivers not on actual land.

I wish they could update the end by putting more things like structures, more blocks, mobs ect. Because I still see the end very empty as it used to be in the nether but with the updates they put it is much better. In addition to the structures and that in the end they could put apart from the dragon and the endermans could also put other types of enderman such as sent, observed, artificer and trapper that are other different types of enderman with different abilities here I leave you a link of a YT video of the endermans as they could be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9Z7ZKc1mkc

Smithing table “improvements?” I don’t agree with that. I love this update (even though it is pretty underwhelming), but the smithing table changes are awful. I will never, ever, get netherite because I can’t even get diamond. The trims are a waste of time and diamonds. They are useless in single player! This change was a huge mistake. It would have been fine if you executed it properly, but you didn’t. Trims should have uses, netherite should grant fire immunity, and the templates shouldn’t be single use. That or make the templates like banner patterns, because they are the same idea but one is for banners and one is for armor.
I think that a small thing that would make a lot of sense and make players happy would be for the torch flower to glow. It doesn't need to be an over-powered thing or a complicated system. What makes the sniffer interesting at this point? It digs up two types of seeds, has an eight-minute cool-down to try to do so, and neither of these plants have any impact on gameplay. Other than that, the sniffer is unable to be tamed or ridden, will not attack hostile mobs for you, does not provide a food-source or useful material, and is a mob that is nigh impossible to obtain accidently.
After searching out warm ocean ruins, facing the risk of drowning or dying from mobs, brushing suspicious sand and still only having less than a 7% chance to find an egg, you are rewarded with one of two, purely decorative, plants, once every ten minutes or so, if you're lucky and watching. Just make the torch-flowers glow.
Minecraft developers are not lazy, and neither is Mojang, I want to acknowledge that, But Minecraft is losing all of its charm and motivation to play very quickly. coming as someone who's been playing for a while, each update feels thinner and emptier, with less time being spent on worlds and servers with friends, i can barley pick up the game for 20 minutes without feeling I've exhausted everything I can do. Minecraft is adding more to the game, but they are all things don't make the game more fun or even give you more to do. they add more content but its all things I, along with a lot of other people, can really only enjoy for about 30 or so minutes before all of its charm is gone.
to put it bluntly Mojang, and I am being 100 percent serious-
consider adding some of April fools update features as in game features, they're weird, but they're fun, interesting, and uniquely Minecraft. they're things that people genuinely enjoy playing with, they truly do make the game feel more creative and they give Minecraft a more Minecrafty feel than any update or mod that's been dished out in the past 4 years.
please give it some thought.

I really don't get how adding more extrinsic goals could ruin the sandbox when they're all completely optional anyway. One extrinsic goal could give way to boatloads of creativity but the dev team refuses to consider adding more stuff like it despite players on this site being clear they want this.
Also really not liking the devs saying "the majority dont want [blank]" when it's one of the top most voted for subjects here and how they dismiss critism as toxic player speak, when the whole point of this website is to gather feedback.
LET CAMELS SPIT!!!!!!
Fica a dica
Barrels. Please, if anything, switch the barrel recipe from Java to match Bedrock using the sticks, not the other way around. It’s unnecessary.
This update was okay. I really love the new cherry trees! But I feel like the are just plopped down. I think it would be cool to have unique villages when in the cherry biome and also a small structure (think ruined nether portal small) one complaint I have as a bedrock player is that I can’t find any trail ruins. I explored thousands of blocks in the correct biomes yet I found nothing. This update was a step in the right direction. I feel like Mojang would benefit from talking to advance mod creators (like the creator of the Create mod, or furnicraft) to learn how to implement these popular ideas. I also feel like we need more ores in the world with different functions. And finally, please update all of the biomes!! They look bare and I feel like redesigning them with special elements would help! (I want the tree mushrooms and fireflies, etc) I know for a fact that everyone was disappointed when the birch biome wasn’t updated, so I think it’s time for a refresh, don’t add alot of new content, just elevate what is already there!
The Overall Update Didn't have the spark that some of the other ones did. Yes, the sniffler was great and I loved a lot of the aesthetic things, but they are not practical. I wished there was more reliable ways to farm the sniffler flowers, and more uses for the flowers themselves. This update is another Huge problem for servers that ran prior to the update. This is because finding a newly generated structures from 1.20 can be incredibly difficult. The smithing table makes it so that new players may have to travel tens of thousands of blocks for a unloaded bastion, which can be tricky. Overall I wish this update had more practical and useful features. However I do love all the new decoration blocks.
Pots should have a different sound for when they break. It needs to actually have a shattering sound instead of the same sound as placing it down
Loved every feature added in 1.20. Some small changes would be great
Make torchflower emit light. Bioluminescent flowers are rlly cool. And i would like to see a few extra plants that the sniffer sniffs up, they could have unique features( ex; Animated flowers like sculk sensor animation, or a lotus flower that blooms and emits light at night). It can also be 2 3 blocks tall herbs and shurbs.
Increase the Density of Cherry grove. No problem with few trees scattered in mountains but increasing the density of those biomes in between mountain valleys makes it feel more like a grove. Sometimes they do spawn like that but on very rare occassions. Another variant of cherry grove could spawn beside rivers mixed with oak and Birch that has lakes and boulders. Very cool concept.
Let armour stands hold various items in hand and have different postion modes just like in Bedrock(Parity Issue).
Add Waterfalls that carve through cliffs/mountains or hills in Jungles, meadows and mountain biomes(I took this idea from the 1.20 trailer).

Times after the new release of 1.20, I come to give you a new update feedback. Because of the new cherry trees and armor trims, I've decided to reset my world and play again from 0. It's really fun to know that I now have reasons to visit structures that I don't see, Since I am not looking for diamonds or emeralds, an item that I already have in excess, but armor molds, each one will have a different model that cannot be obtained elsewhere, Even giving function to the forgotten jungle temple that I never even bothered to visit before, so much so that I never saw one. Liked the armor models? Yes. Like the cherry trees? Yes. Despite what was added in this update, I still maintain my opinion that the update appears to be incomplete and Needing more features that seem to have been cut during production. I believe the update needs a second part, with more blacksmithing molds, more functions for the jars and more new mobs with unique functions (and with drops, please). Sniffer and Archeology are still shallow, just decorative things
Has anyone noticed that putting water in a cauldron has the lava texture!? Umm…
I think this update was pretty nice, I only have 1 suggestion, PLEASE add maps for trail ruins, i have been searching for 3+ hours and haven't found any looking in the correct biomes (old growth biomes, jungle, and taiga biomes).

Hopefully the next one’ll be better. This one was too far from what we wanted. It’s ruined. Pun not intended.
Generally I like this update only because of the cherry tree. All other innovations are somehow useless.
1.Camel does not have any benefits, drops or other unique uses. Being able to ride it with a friend is a good idea, but useless. Almost no one uses horses because people love elytras, so even more so no one will use a ground vehicle that can lie on the ground in the middle of combat + cannot wear armor or be at least something useful .
2.The sniffer is even more useless than the camel. No drop, hard to get, no character. For example in order for the turtles to hatch player must breed 2 turtles one of which will have a bally and a digging animation, after which the eggs will become vulnerable to monster attacks and, most importantly, eggs can only hatch on the sand, which makes it possible to use this in lots of decorations ideas. What about a sniffer? We get an egg, put it on a block of moss and after 10 minutes a mob appears. I personally don't have any attachment to such a creature for a variety of reasons, one of which is that the player doesn't feel involved. When I raised little turtles, I protected them and managed to fall in love with them, but the sniffer does not cause me emotions. Why can an egg hatch on any blocks? There are no interesting hatching mechanics, because the sniffer will hatch no matter what, which also deprives players of using the egg as a decoration. Well, the ability of the mob itself is bad. Two flowers that do nothing but just stand is boring.Let's break this down by feature:
Cherry stuff - amazing overall, design and art are perfect, unique tree shapes are appreciated. Find the biome beautiful but slightly underwhelming - needs something unique (shrine? mob variant?) to feel complete outside of the petals. Blocks A+, Biome B+
Bamboo - love unique new wood designs - A+
Armor Trims - Awesome, but lacking a couple of options (prismarine crystals, crying obsidian maybe) and I think more trims should be added with new updates. A village trim, wandering trader trims.
Also think the diamond cost is a lot for cosmetics (but agree with it for Netherite upgrades). A
Calibrated Sculk Sensor - makes a very useful but overly complicated side of redstone much more understandable and applicable. A+
Camels - hidden gem of the update for sure! We all know theres a power gap with Elytra, but I had a blast riding a couple of camels home to my barn. A
Archaeology - Fun, but incomplete. Great concept for a system but needs more reward than just pots and sniffer eggs (scrolls with ancient maps? ancient weapons? unique enchantment books?), C+
Trail Ruins - a bit too big, got almost everything unique clearing out just one. This should follow Archaeology recommendations, C
Sniffer - Great design and concept, underwhelming that the plants have little utility and there's only two. Hopefully gets iterated on. B-
Chiseled bookshelves - great, simple addition, appreciate the redstone too. A
Overall, 7.5/10 - lots of great stuff, some incomplete. Its ok to take some more risks and add some adventurous content, dont be afraid to add to much content because part of the fun of the early days of playing minecraft is knowing that there is lots of undiscovered content.
This update is cool, but it feels like a spice rather than a meal. Though armour trims are a really good spice. It'd be nice if there were more functional items/blocks, for example sculk sensors have a function and affect the game without adding to the progression. Same with riptide, flint and steel, slime blocks, saddles, etc. It would be nice to have more blocks/items like those that have function.
this game is awesome and its my favorite, i had this game since the 1.17 update and i love the 1.20, this update added a lot of new features to the game and they`re great, since i instaled fresh animations and the BLS shaders the game got more amazing but it was better if the game had better animations and shaders and if the cherry biome had its own villages and structures but its still a great game, ,,Arya Behjoo,,
