I think this should be in Minecraft

I think there should be a dirt slab for better texturing your landscape. You would craft this dirt slab by using two dirt blocks.

The reason this was removed is because it made terrain generation incredibly buggy. Also, adding it today would mean also adding rooted, grass, mycelium, podzol, course, farmland, soil, path, and possibly moss, clay, sand, red sand, and gravel variants. If they were added, it would probably be better that they don't spawn naturally and must be crafted.
