    Agree. The end is more simple - less biomes no mountains - so it’s easier to keep oversight. Finding history gives away to the lore of the enderman travelling through biomes. The findings could be even older than anything in the over world, i.e. the enderman went to overworld before the villagers. You could use the binoculars to scout archeological sights on other floating islands. When running to find end cities you can easily pack your archeology tools since you should have space in your inventory - given the fact there’s so little to collect in the end. It’d be nice to find a painting and/or an armor trim through archeology. It’d be especially cool if you can find a hibernated mob that has lived millennia’s ago. We don’t know wether it’s originally from the overworld or the end. What if we find a written book in the end. Did someone else manage to get to the end before you? If so, how? An alley from the overworld could help you find archeological sight in end. I think the end can make archeology more mystical & mysterious and can turn it into a real activity.
