What if you could ride them

This would harm endangered species also this would be very niche armor.

An alternative could be Penguin down granted upon the growing up of Penguin chicks which could be used to line armor instead, granting immunity to powder snow or softening blows from attacks by half a heart

Ah, no penguin slaughtering! Mojang wouldn't endorse that. They would definitely endorse cute penguins, I think, but their benefits would just be that they're a cute mob to add environment to the world. Maybe if you get one to trust you, they bring you fish in return, and could grant a swimming bonus, like dolphins.

Extra bonus: Add fairy penguins, specifically. They're a bit niche, but they're the Australian Little Penguin, which is the smallest type of penguin, and also the cutest. I request this specifically because it would give them some recognition, and in real life, sheepdogs have been used to protect them, so maybe wolves and them could have some cute interaction as a nod to this?

The Penguins that they should add would be based off of the fairy penguin and the emperor penguin and the feathers would drop randomly like chickens drop eggs and how do you breed them using fish and one of the parents will have the egg in between their legs until the penguin hatches
