Astral Peaks-
a very rare and incredibly unique mountain biome that only generates above y-250. It is a very cold mountain peak biome that I believe would add a lot of beauty and uniqueness to the game. Even when all generation conditions are met it is still extremely rare.
Appearance: The Astral Peaks is a mountain top of stone, ice, and snow. The snow here takes on a strange light blue/light purple tint and blue ice can be found here. During the day, things look normal. At night the stars in the Astral Peaks are far more vibrant, bright, and frequent. The moon appears much larger here and on some nights may be a different color. Some events that can be seen in the starry sky of the Astral Peaks include shooting stars, the aurora borealis, meteor showers, sometimes you will be able to see nearby planets, etc.
Biome Mechanics:
- The day-night cycle here is different, day is 7 minutes-night is 13 minutes.
- When it snows here visibility is much worse than normal.
- Mobs don’t spawn naturally here (the moon at night is bright enough to prevent the spawning of hostile mobs).
- The water here turns to ice.
Achievements:
- Master Observer- Place an observer on the Astral Peaks facing the night sky.
- Astronomer- Look at the full moon through a spyglass on the Astral Peaks.
- Star Gazing- Stare at the night sky on the Astral Peaks for about 1 minute.
This biome is meant to be a reward to players and to add an extra layer of beauty to the game.
