Please bring horses fitting into boats back.

    I'm against. It's better to add bigger boats that actually fit the horse.

    They "broke" it as a fix.  Either a new boat bigger boat or roll back and let horses ride in the dinghy until they implement a bigger boat.  It isn't a weight issue; how much can I fit in a boat with a chest?  For me, the gameplay is broken; I would explore the world and sail across the ocean with my trusty steed Broddy... now we're relegated to whatever land we were last on before the Minecraft overlords decided horses in boats were too powerful; only Elite players with elytra should have the power to travel conveniently, we must take this power of horses in boats away from the lowly peasants! Bring out the Nerf stick! Nerf the horses in Boats!!

    the horse fits now though! I've been using this feature on bedrock for literal years and now I have no choice but to leave my horse behind when i hit the ocean or a river?

    Making it harder to traverse the world, particularly when your first saddled horse is a rare and valuable thing in early game, goes against the spirit of the 1.20 update.

    PLEASE. not everyone uses elytra and in fact most bedrock players use devices that make elytra harder to use. travelling by boat and horse is entirely how i play. not allowing horses in boats actually ruins a lot of gameplay as it’s much harder to explore. the horse isn’t even bigger than the boat as the update log suggests.

    I would love to keep horses fitting in boats, I frequently start new worlds and I use this mechanic a lot to explore.. I sure hope this doesn't get taken away..

    And mules, and donkeys or make boats larger so animals fit.

    This should be on both Java and Bedrock by a lot of players standards due to the quality of life change for early/mid game it would bring. Rather than changing it so horses could fit on boats on Java like players wanted it appears they did the opposite and considered one of the good features from bedrock a bug. Just like they did with the campfires lighting things on fire thing that Java players also wanted.

    I'm voting up, but I agree with the first comment that ideally, there should be a larger boat for this. Such a thing would probably need other functionality to make it worthwhile, though, so I don't see that happening. Instead, perhaps a horse takes up both seats, but we could chain boats together with leads? I think it'd be fun to have a train of sorts made out of boats.

    Instead of making horses more useful on Java by allowing horses in boats they made them less useful on Bedrock. Horses are amazing for adventure and exploration, with this change you now have to leave your trusty steed behind on the beach. I really want horses to work and have a place in the game. Horse breeding has been improved but now you can't use horses if it means crossing a body of water. Why make the Minecraft less accessable and less fun. Let horses fit in boat on both editions of the game. This change has greatly reduced my satisfaction of playing Minecraft.

    I understand this was a parity fix. And I guess it doesn’t make sense for horses not to fit in boats. But lots of things that don’t fit in boats still go in boats! One YouTube video shows a turtle in a boat that obviously does not fit! So my thought was if you’re going to do this you should make, all animals that won’t fit not fit! Also, there should be some thing that goes in the water like maybe the raft that is part of the new bamboo wood that could actually be the size of two boats combined and take more resources to craft. Maybe it could be used to transport larger animals. With horses having their breed mechanics fixed to where you can actually breed with some predictability, there will be people who want to breed and trade horses over a distance!

    I’m not angry I just disappointed I don’t understand why they made the pandas hit box smaller so they can fit in boats. And then they say the horses were too big but they couldn’t do that with the horses?? Like am I tripping or what lol Idk but hopefully they fix this or add new boats

    I agree, either bigger boats (more preferred) or either let the horses fit.

    Absolutely agree. This change ruined how I play. Make boats bigger if that’s the issue.

    Instead of a mob vote every now and then where all the choices are simply bad...still can't believe I play a game where a 6 legged dino rug can be revived to find flowers...  Just blows my mind...but, taking horses out of boats...if anyone were to vote on this, the vote would be to add it to java edition.  Parity is important, and  it requires a lot of thought...but I would say it's the players thought that should matter on this issue.

    Agreed. They should either bring a larger boat to the game or add horses to boats back. They fit perfectly fine and its logical to be able to transport them over water via boat otherwise why even use them. Im really not building millions of bridges everywhere just to get my horse from a to b. Especially in early game. Besides, other heavy,large things fit in the boat still anyway. Not consistent.

    I miss taking my horse with me. Now I can't because it doesn't get in the boat anymore. I'm not gonna push my horse across an ocean. This was a terrible parity change. Until you get an Elytra, the horse is one of the best and inexpensive ways to travel.

    Removing the feature allowing horses/donkeys/mules to fit in a boat makes traveling more difficult for no reason. It'd be better to give Java the feature rather than just taking it away from Bedrock

    They really need to add this back I had to leave the horse that I got after looting a desert temple because I'm not pushing it across a 1000 block ocean

    100% agree i just got back on after taking a break for a while and finding this out the hard way with my horse and i hundreds of blocks from home is really frustrating, i think i and many other players considered it a feature not a bug especially since there wasn’t any clipping or animation issues when you would take your horse on a boat. I hope this function gets brought back because it feels like horses have no purpose anymore. Why bother exploring with your horse if you’re just going to have to leave it behind at some point? Maybe the elytra makes traversing bodies of water easier but its more of a late game item and most exploration, for me, happens when i just start the game. Either way horses in boats still has a function because donkeys add extra inventory space you wouldn’t get if you were just flying around in your elytra. Clearly horses in boats has a place in minecraft gameplay and needs to be brought back, any of the suggestions in this thread would work because the bottom line is it adds to the game, in a big way, instead of taking away from it

    Bring back horses fjording! At least let it be that we can have 1 horse alone ride in a boat with a lead attachment to fjord our horses across the waterways.. PLEASE MOJANG?
